 The Heart Behind My Mother’s Hands

On February 10, 2017, my brothers and I said goodbye to our beloved mother here on earth. Though she battled lung cancer with grace and strength, her passing left a profound void in our lives. It was one of the most difficult obstacles I’ve ever faced. But through faith, the support of friends, and the wisdom of others who had walked this path before me, I learned how to face each day without her physical presence.

I’m Alexis J.D. Greene, founder of My Mother’s Hands. This beautiful community was born from a divine nudge, spoken through the sweet voice of my sister in Christ, Angela Jones, who encouraged me to create a space where grief could be met with love and healing.

Serving as member and a Chaplain at St. Paul Church of Sacramento and a proud member of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc., I carry a humble heart for public service. My calling is to uplift others, especially those navigating the pain of losing a mother.

My Mother’s Hands is a nonprofit organization dedicated to ensuring that no grieving adult, child, or family ever suffers in silence. We believe in the power of community, shared stories, and compassionate support to help people rediscover hope and begin to live again.
